10th-place finish in Cotton Pickin' 100 finale at Magnolia
Thursday saw Morgan Bagley return with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) for the rescheduled Labor Day Classic. (Zackary Washington photos)
Drawing 37 Late Models, Morgan laid down the fourth-fastest time in his group before placing second in his heat. Fading outside the Top-10 in the 30-lap feature, Bagley recorded a 15th-place outing.
On Friday as the Cotton Pickin’ 100 weekend kicked off with a $4,000-to-win prelim, Bagley followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a runner-up performance in his B-Main. Moving forward seven spots main event, Morgan crossed the line in 12th.
Racing his way into Saturday’s finale via his B-Main after finishing sixth in his heat, Morgan locked into the 21st-starting position for the Cotton Pickin’ 100. With $12,000 on the line, Bagley passed 11 cars in the 60-lap affair to register a 10th-place finish.
