Mo Bags takes 18th in CCSDS Cotton Pickin’
Team 14 and driver Morgan Bagley traveled to Columbus, Mississippi, on the third weekend of September for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Cotton Pickin’ at Magnolia Motor Speedway. Despite a decent start to the two-day show, Bagley had a tough main event.
A strong field of 42 CCSDS competitors was at the 3/8-mile track on Friday, necessitating two qualifying groups. Bagley clocked the 10th-quickest time in his group aboard his P&W Sales No. 14M Super Late Model. He went on to start fifth and finish third in his heat race later that night.
On Saturday, Bagley rolled off 11th to begin the 60-lap, $20,000-to-win A-Main. During the first restart early in the race, a car in front of him slowed, and as Bagley checked up, he was shuffled to the back. He was unable to make up much ground throughout the remainder of the feature as the field stuck to the bottom of the track. He ultimately finished 18th.
With just two weekends left in the CCSDS season, Bagley holds the second spot in the series point standings.
