Bagley finishes 9th in Bayou Classic finale
The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) season came to a close on the second weekend in October with the Bayou Classic at Boothill Speedway. Morgan Bagley grabbed his 15th top-10 finish of 2025 overall in the co-sanctioned event with the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series.
On Friday, Bagley was part of a 41-car Super Late Model field seeking the $10,000 winner’s share at the quarter-mile oval in Greenwood, Louisiana. He raced his Smelley Welding & Fab No. 14M to the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race, starting him 13th in the 30-lap feature. He faded during the A-Main and finished in 22nd place.
With 42 Super Late Models entered at Boothill for Saturday’s finale, Bagley drove from fourth to third in his heat to again transfer early in the evening. He started 11th in the 70-lap, $50,000-to-win A-Main and never fell out of the top 10 after lap 18, ultimately coming home ninth.
Bagley completed the season second in the CCSDS point standings. He trailed only Billy Moyer Sr. in the championship chase.
